Troop 6 of Staten Island New York is chartered by The Greater New York Councils.

We meet Wednesday evenings from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the BPO Elks Lodge #841 - 3250 Richmond Avenue, Staten Island NY

Welcome Scouts and Parents!

This site will be providing Parents and Scouts with important Troop information regarding trips, activities, advancement opportunities and general Troop News. Trip/Activity sign-up forms will also be provided as attachments on the Troop Calendar as well as in-person at Troop Meetings.

For information regarding Merit Badges and their requirements, please click on "Links" under "Menu" on the left side of this page. 

For trip permission slips, please click on "Files" under "Menu" on the left side of this page, then click on the "Troop 6 Files" link.

In support of Wreaths Across America, we are kindly asking for donations to raise funds for our upcoming trip to Arlington National Cemetery in December. This is an incredible experience for the Scouts and any assistance we can get goes a long way to ensure this is a trip we can make every year in honor of our Veterans.

Your participation in supporting our fundraising efforts is greatly appreciated.

Troop 6 Class B Order Form

Troop 6,

We would like all of our Scouts to purchase and wear a Class "B" uniform for all regular meetings and camping trips. Please complete and return this form along with your payment to ASM Rob Saitta ASAP in order to insure a speedy ordering process. Cash (exact change only please) or our preferred method of a check or Venmo transfer with "Class B" in the memo/subject field. Note : order a size larger for your Scout.

Major items for this week:

  1. We are in week 2 of the year, so please ensure you get registered and submit the annual dues. 
  2. A fundraiser is scheduled for this Saturday, so ensure your Scout is available to participate.
  3. Upcoming camping trips for Oct and Nov are posted and listed below. Pay particular attention to due dates.

Troop 6 Family,


Hope you all had a wonderful summer.  Its that time of year again to register your Scout and get back into Scouting mode, so here are important dates to note:

• Sept 13 @ 7pm - Registration Day – Scouts are welcome to stay and play boardgames and hang with their friends.
• Annual Dues: $225/scout – see below for payment instructions
• Sept 20 @ 7pm – 1st Troop Meeting (meet on 2nd floor)
• Sept 27 @ 7pm – 2nd Troop Meeting (also meeting on 2nd floor)

Payment Instructions: payments can be made via cash (exact change only), check (made out to Troop 6) or Venmo.  For payments via Venmo:     Account Name: @Troop6SINY / Account Code: 3741

In addition to the dates above, please note the following volunteer request from Elks specific to 9/11:

1. Elks Lodge requires a Color Guard (3-4 scouts) for 9/11 ceremony (9/11/23 at 6pm).  Full Class A uniforms are required.  If available, please notify SM Warne.

Just a quick couple of announcements.

1. Elks Lodge requires Scout volunteers for Friday evening (8/25/23 at 6pm) to setup tables and chairs for an event.  If you can volunteer 30 min of your Scout’s time to setup tables and chairs, please notify Joe Delissio (joedelissio@gmail.com) and advise. Please arrive by at 6pm.
